The ductwork in this Brighton home runs through the cold attic. By the time the heated air reached the bedrooms, it was luke-warm at best. The walls and floors were cold, and the bedrooms were drafty.
We insulated the attic and the ducts. We sealed the duct and stopped the drafts, making the bedrooms cozy, warm, and energy efficient.
This crawlspace was not sealed off from the outside. It had a tremendous amount of air moving through it with holes to the outside. We installed a vapor barrier and spray foam on the walls and rim joists.
This home in East Irondequoit was suffering from significant ice damming. Heat from the kitchen was leaking up into the attic through the can lights. Our TiteShell can covers stop the air-flow and stop the "paid-for" heat from melting snow on the roof.
Heat coming off this uninsulated vent-duct was melting snow on the roof, causing ice-damming. We insulated the duct, then buried it with blown-in insulation.
This historic home in Rochester, NY had very little insulation in the attic. The house was cold and drafty in the winter. In the first photo, you can see the exposed joists in the slope of the raised ceiling. Almost no insulation at all was on the top.
We sealed up the holes in the attic floor, and added a thick layer of TruSoft blown cellulose insulation to both the sloped and the flat ceilings.
